Gulfstream G280
About
The New Class Leader
The G280, introduced in 2012, was a complete redesign of the super-midsize concept. It featured a new wing, new engines, and a T-tail design that significantly improved its performance over the G200. It was built to be the fastest and longest-range jet in its category, specifically designed to fly non-stop from London to New York or New York to Los Angeles against the strongest headwinds.
Why the G280 Dominates
The G280 is the "winning" super-midsize jet because of its extraordinary climb and runway performance. It can climb directly to 43,000 feet in less than 23 minutes and operate from runways as short as 4,750 feet. For the passenger, the G280 offers 19 large windows—flooding the cabin with natural light—and a 100% fresh-air system that reduces travel fatigue. It is the only jet in its class authorized for steep-approach operations into airports like London City, providing a massive advantage for international travelers.
Agility and High-Speed Reach
The Gulfstream G280 stands as a high-performance masterpiece, blending a spacious cabin with class-leading speed and range. It seats up to ten passengers in an interior that features a full-access baggage compartment and an advanced cabin management system. Powered by two Honeywell HTF7250G engines, it delivers a top speed of Mach 0.85 and a range of 3,600 nautical miles. The PlaneView280 flight deck, based on Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion, provides pilots with state-of-the-art situational awareness and safety features.
